A Paducah social worker helps educate us on how to identify cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is too often confused with rude or mean online behavior that isn’t necessarily harmful, educator, social worker and author Signe Whitson warns. “We’re putting all of childhood misbehaviors into the bullying basket, and my concern is that when we do that we’re going to create a little bit of the ‘boy who cried wolf’ phenomena,” Whitson said. She said the focus should be kept on aggressive, repetitive contact that can lead to danger.
